Walton’s S M Mahbubul Alam honoured with ‘MD of the Year Award’ 

S M Mahbubul Alam, Managing Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, has been honoured with the ‘MD of the Year Award’. 

He received this prestigious award in the ‘MD of the Year (Tech)’ category of the Bangladesh C-Suite Awards-2024, organized by Bangladesh Brand Forum, for his outstanding contribution to the progress of national economy and improving the people’s living standard through manufacturing, marketing and exporting energy efficient and environment-friendly appliances. 

S M Mahbubul Alam received the crest and certificate of the best ‘MD of the Year’ from Dr. Ishtiaque Mahmood, Professor of National University of Singapore, at an event titled ‘Bangladesh C-Suite Awards-2024’ held at a city hotel on Thursday evening (December 12, 2024).  

Thanking the authorities for this prestigious award, Walton Hi-Tech's MD S M Mahbubul Alam said, “Bangladesh C-Suite Awards is one of most prestigious awards in the business sector. It was a great honour for me. Special thanks to all members of Walton family for their hard work and dedication for whom we are having remarkable success one after another”.  

For the young generation, the Walton MD said, “There is no alternative to hard work to be successful. Every job will have challenges and many obstacles but you have to take the challenges and also move forward with strong determination to achieve your goal. Only then you will be successful”.

Bangladesh Brand Forum initiated the Bangladesh C-Suite Awards in 2022 to recognize and celebrate the achievements of Bangladeshi executives. This year, the authorities received 87 nominations from 33 businesses in 24 categories. The jury board consisting of the country's leading experts carefully reviewed the nominations and then awarded 22 top personalities of the business sector of Bangladesh.

Before the Bangladesh C-Suite Awards 2024, the 8th Leadership Summit, a flagship initiative of the Bangladesh Brand Forum, was held. Around 350 business leaders, experts and professional personalities participated in the summit. 

At the event, Shariful Islam, Founder and Managing Director of Bangladesh Brand Forum, delivered the welcome speech.
