Walton cuts TV prices again following Football World Cup

Economic Reporter: The country’s electronics giant ‘Walton’ has cut the prices of its some models of LED televisions on the occasion of the ongoing Russia Football World Cup-2018.

Walton authorities said, a good number of people thronged the nationwide Walton outlets to purchase world-class LED and smart televisions at reasonable rates. The demands and sales of Walton were increased sharply across the country. To meet the abruptly increased demand, television production at Walton Micro-Tech Corporation were increased. The increase of production led per unit TV production cost to go down and thus the prices of Walton televisions were cut down again.

Earlier, Walton cut its televisions’ prices by maximum Tk 5,000 in the month of Ramadan this year. Now, the prices were further cut down following the ongoing Football World Cup. In addition, customers are enjoying cash discounts up to Tk 2,000 or free fridge, TV and AC, or a free tour to America and Russia by registering their purchased Walton TV during the period of April 1 to June 30, 2018.

Walton is offering six months replacement guaranty, two years spare parts warranty and five years post sales services on its televisions, which are resulted in gaining huge customers’ flow at the company’s outlets, they said.

Uday Hakim, deputy executive director of Walton Group, said, Walton is in the top brand in terms of sales of televisions during the World Cup as they marketed enormous models of televisions within the reach of all classes of people.



Sales of their highest standard Smart televisions are satisfactory, saying it he hopped that the overall sales’ target would be crossed at the end of the month.

Mostafa Nahid Hossain, chief executive officer of Walton Televisions Department, said, they marketed more than one hundred models of televisions, including 4K, FHD, HD, Smart and LED. They brought diversity in both the design and the colour of their televisions. Cut down prices up to Tk 5,000. Thus, the sales of their televisions have been jumped up remarkably during the last couple of days, he said.

Maruf Hasan, head of television sales and deputy director of Walton Group, Walton reduced the prices of its big screen 49" and 55" televisions to Tk 54,900 and Tk 64,900 respectively. Cutting the prices by Tk  1,190, the reduced price of its 32 inch LED TV is now at Tk 18,800. Walton also reduced the price of its 28 inch LED television to Tk 16,900 from Tk 19,200. Prices of its 43" TV were cut down to Tk 37,990 from Tk 39,900.

He also said that Walton made a surprise for its Smart TV customers by bringing the Smart TV's latest platform 'Android 7' based 32", 39" and 43" Smart TV at Tk 25,990; Tk 39,900 and Tk 44,900 respectively. Customers can operate these Walton televisions with their smartphone through using the TV's E-Share App. Customers can also get the facility of mirroring the mobile phone storage image, video and game into the Walton Smart TV.

According to Walton authorities, they are now offering six months replacement warranty, along with two years spare parts warranty and five years free post sales service facilities, in Walton televisions.  They are delivering swift and best after sales services to their televisions’ clients through its nationwide service points under the ISO certified Walton Service Management System.
