Walton investing 10M USD more in TV set production

Economic Reporter: Local electronics giant Walton is investing 10 million US dollars more in television production at its own factory in Bangladesh to manufacture best quality products for customers home and abroad.

The disclosure was made at a conference of Walton plaza managers held at its corporate office in city on Thursday (11 October 2018). SM Mahbubul Alam, Director of Walton Group, inaugurated the daylong conference titled ‘Meet the Plaza Managers & Exchange View 2018’ where more than 300 managers from different parts of the country along with high-officials of Walton were present.

The function was attended and addressed by Walton Hi-Tech Industries Ltd. Chairman SM Nurul Alam Rezvi, Vice-Chairman SM Shamsul Alam, Walton Digi-Tech Industries Ltd. Chairman SM Rezaul Alam, Walton Group Directors Zakia Sultana, Tahmina Afrose Tanna and Raisa Sigma Hima.

Walton Group Executive Directors Eva Rezwana, Amdadul Hoque Sarker, Nazrul Islam Sarker, Humayun Kabir, SM Zahid Hasan, Ashraful Ambia, Md. Rayhan, Col. S M Shahadat Alam (Retd) and Major General A K M Muzahid Uddin (Retd), Deputy Executive Director Uday Hakim, Sr. Operative Director Golam Murshed, Operative Director Firoj Alam were among others present on the function hosted by film actor Amin Khan. 



The Walton authorities pledged to ensure high quality products and conveyed the promise of providing quick and best after sale services for customers. It was also highlighted that Walton products are being exported to different counties and process underway to reach them every corner of the world including Europe and America.

Walton Plaza managers vowed to exceed themselves in electronics product sales with the slogan of ‘We were best, we are best and we will be best’. The Walton authorities highlighted and guided them to face the modern challenges in marketing electronic products. The conference ended with the goal of achieving customer satisfaction providing the best quality products and services.

Speaking on the occasion, SM Nurul Alam Rezvi, Chairman of Walton Hi-Tech Industries Ltd. said that Walton is not only conducting business in Bangladesh but also in the whole world. It is now an international brand.

Walton is manufacturing world-class products using best raw materials at its own production plant equipped with latest technology and machineries.



He said after leading the county’s refrigerator market, Walton has emphasized on television and is going to invest 10 million USD more on television production to manufacture world's top-quality products.

Vice Chairman SM Shamsul Alam said Walton has been providing best products and services to customers since its inception. Wherever we went, we were best. As a result, Walton has been honored with numerous awards recognitions in home and abroad. Walton tops the VAT payer list in Dhaka international trade fair every year. Few days ago, Walton received National Environment Award and recently honored with Export Excellence Award.

Speaking on the occasion chief guest SM Mahbubul Alam said, all customers are equally important. Ensuring customer satisfaction by providing best quality products and services is our main goal. So, the Plaza managers need to be sincerer. He gave sales executives important guidance on various aspects of modern marketing techniques.

Md. Rayhan, chief officer of Walton Plaza Sales and Development said, the seed of Walton was planted 31 years ago which has become vast today. We dream that the day is not far away when foreign company's products won’t be able to compete with Walton.

At the ceremony, the best Plaza Managers of different zones were rewarded. The daylong function ended with a pleasant cultural program.
