Walton hands over Tk10 lakh to fridge customer

M Mahfuzur Rahman: Wazed Ali, a tailor from Gazipur, became a millionaire after he had purchased a Walton refrigerator under the ongoing offer titled ‘I will be million once again’ of the local brand’s nationwide ‘Digital Campaign Season-7.’

Walton is conducting ‘Digital Campaign’ across the country to accelerate the initiative of building customer database for delivering online based swift and best after sales service. On Tuesday (June 23, 2020), a cheque of Tk10 lakh was officially handed over to Wazed Ali at Walton's distributor showroom 'Haji Electronics' in Kaliakair. District Awami League Joint-General Secretary Shikder Mosharraf Hossain, Walton Executive Director Yusuf Ali, Zonal Head Masud Sohel, Haji Electronics' three proprietors Shah Alam, Khorshed Alam and Mahbub Alam were present on the occasion.

Wazed Ali said, on June 10, 2020, he purchased a 218 liter refrigerator worth of Tk.27,300 from Hazi Electronics. He received a SMS in his mobile phone number from Walton with the notification of getting Tk 10 lakh cash on registration of the fridge.

Ali, hailed from Jaldhaka of Nilphamari, is now living at Dakkhin Panshail under Kashimpur of Gazipur with his two kids and readymade garments (RMG) worker wife Mazeda Begum. At the age of six, he lost his right eye in an incident.

Thanking Walton, Ali said, ‘This is the first time I've received a gift from a company. I intend to spend the rest of my life in village by farming cattle with the money awarded from Walton.’

Shikder Mosharraf Hossain said that Walton has brought revolution in electronics products in Bangladesh. The company has gained popularity with standard products and services.
