Gold price in the country has hit a new record.
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has fixed per bhori gold price is Tk 1,04,626, the highest price for the first time in the country’s history.
BAJUS in a statement on Sunday said that the new price would come into effect from Monday (November 6).
The gold price has been increased due to a rise in the rates of pure gold in the local market, BAJUS said.
The price of one bar of 22-carat (11.664 grams) gold has been increased to Tk104,626 per bhori, 21-carat to Tk 99,902 per bhori and 18-carat to Tk 85,614 per bhori.
