Prof Saleh Hasan Naqib appointed RU VC

Dr Saleh Hasan Naqib, a professor of the Department of Physics at the Rajshahi University (RU), has been appointed as the vice-chancellor (VC) of the university.

The Education Ministry issued a notification in this regard on Thursday (September 5), appointing him as the VC of the university.

President Md Shahabuddin, also the chancellor of the university, appointed him to the post.

According to the notification, the appointment will be effective from the date of joining the vice-chancellor position. He will serve as RU VC for the next four years and will enjoy all facilities including salary, allowances and other benefits as per the regulations.

The notification also mentioned that Dr Saleh Hasan Naqib is required to be present on the university campus at all times and the president and chancellor of the university reserve the right to revoke this appointment at any time if necessary.
