Students enforce `complete shutdown` at JnU

The students of Jagannath University (JnU) announced a “complete shutdown” at their campus putting a three-point demand.

The protest program began around 8:30am on Monday (January 13). Meanwhile, students were seen locking main gate of the campus, academic buildings.

The protestors are calling for the transfer of the second campus construction project to the army, provision of temporary housing, and housing allowances for a majority of students.

The locked main gate has prevented any vehicles from entering the campus. However, a side gate has been kept open for pedestrian access to minimize disruption for non-protesting students.
