Traffic restrictions on DU campus ease for book fair

Dhaka University (DU) authorities have eased the restrictions imposed on vehicles entry into the campus on the occasion of the Amar Ekushey Book Fair.

Dhaka University public relations wing issued a notification in this regard on Friday (January 31).

The vehicles are being allowed to operate on the campus from February 1 to February 28 to smooth the movements of general people considering book fair in the area. There will be no barricade to stop the vehicles, said the statement.

However, the Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police will take necessary measures for orderly entry of vehicles at the entrances and proper parking of vehicles inside Dhaka University. Members of the Dhaka University Volunteer Team and the Proctorial Mobile Security Team will provide overall support to the Traffic Division in this regard.
