Protesters announce indefinite Titumir College shutdown

Protesting students have declared an indefinite shutdown of Government Titumir College, demanding its transformation into a university.

The announcement was made at a press conference in front of the college’s main gate at around 11pm on Sunday (February 2).

The protesters also said that Titumir students will also blockade the Amtoli, Mohakhali and Gulshan Link Road from 11am to 10pm from Monday (February 3).

On behalf of the protesting students, Mahmudul Hasan Muktar said the shutdown will continue until our demands are met. No administrative work will be done.
