SASS hosts iftar mahfil to foster unity, tradition

The Students Association of Sena Palli High School (SASS) successfully hosted a heartfelt and vibrant iftar mahfil, bringing together former students in a spirit of unity, reflection and cultural celebration.

The event, held at BN fleet club cafeteria (Mirpur-14) on March 21, aimed to strengthen the bonds of camaraderie among former students while embracing the values of compassion and generosity during the holy month of Ramadan. Attendees broke their fast together in a warm and welcoming environment, sharing a diverse array of traditional and local delicacies.

The evening featured recitations from the holy Quran, inspirational speeches and a collective prayer session, further enriching the spiritual essence of the event.

“Our goal with this iftar mahfil was to create a space where former students could come together to celebrate our shared traditions,” said Kaisar Bhuiyan, a former student of the school.

Another ex-student Khalequzzaman Mohammad Shamim said: “The overwhelming participation and positive response reaffirm the importance of such gatherings in strengthening our bonds.”  

Regarding iftar mahfil 2025, Moshiur Rahman Mamun, FCA from 1989 batch of Sena Palli High School said: “The iftar mahfil was made possible through the dedicated efforts of SASS members. The association remains committed to organizing initiatives that foster unity, cultural appreciation and social harmony among former students and the broader community.”
