SAU Prof Hasanuzzaman named among world`s top scientists

Prof Dr Mirza Hasanuzzaman of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) has been listed among the top 2% scientists in the world.

The list is exposed in a report by researchers based on research citation of Stanford University in the United States where at least 26 scientists from Bangladesh have been included.

At least 159, 683 scientists from different branches of science have been enlisted. Among them, Prof Dr Mirza Hasanuzzaman was listed in the category of 'plant biology and botany'. In light of the Scopus database, he was cited more than six thousand times.

In 2017, he was rewarded with Australia's most exalted Endeavor Research Fellowship for postdoctoral research with Japanese Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) fellowship in 2015 and Monbukagakusho scholarship in 2009.

Prof Dr Hasanuzzaman also received the world academy of science young scientist award in 2014.
