Tahmid Hasan: A successful English language trainer

Tahmid Hasan seems to have delivered the highest number of English classes in Bangladesh, and makes language adaptation easier for students. More than 15,000 students have been served by him with over 5,000 face-to-face classes.

In the online education platform, he also has a substantial contribution with one hundred thirty free lessons which already have 280000 hits.

A generation has grown up in Bangladesh who have somehow benefited directly or indirectly through Tahmid Hasan's face-to-face classes, online classes, books or other study materials.

He was the first to convert the HSC textbook into an audiobook for with standard. In his local city Sylhet- since 2016, and more especially HSC to University Admission Test examinee, students who have not taken Tahmid Hasan's classes or read his books could rarely be found. Moreover, he is also well-liked by IELTS candidates and language learners of all levels.

Tahmid holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. He has also obtained a TESOL-Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages -degree from IOA.

He is the CEO of Grammar World, one of the leading English grammar and language learning platforms in Bangladesh, and most of the education contents of Grammar World are completely free of cost.

He is the chief editor of ‘The Earth of Autograph’- the very first English Magazine in the Sylhet Division. He is a college lecturer in English and is also working with various organizations as a Language Trainer.

This proves how promising he is as a writer.

His teaching endeavours have not been limited to physical classes but he has used many online platforms to reach out to all the Bengali-speaking people of the world in a short time. Asked why he was thinking so extensively about bringing English education to everyone's doorstep, he said, 'Even if students from different parts of the country read my books, they would not get a chance to attend my classes. 'To give them a chance to do my classes, I started recording the classes and uploading them on YouTube. When I got a lot of responses on the channel, I thought, how can this service be made bigger? From there, the idea of creating a website came to mind and the journey of Grammar World started.'

Asked best way from his eyes to enhance the level of English proficiency, Tahmid humbly replied, 'We are good at what we practice, and only practice can lead us to the level of unconscious competency in particular language learning.'
