Brahmanbaria-2 by-polls: Investigation of irregularities begins

The probe body has launched an investigation into the allegations of irregularities in the polling of Brahmanbaria-2 by-polls.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (revenue) Md Ruhul Amin started investigation at the office of Ashuganj UNO around 11:00am on Wednesday.

Additional Police Super Md Joinal Abedin was also present. But no one from the district election office was present there.

The probe body will interrogate the persons responsible for arranging polls in four centres of Ashuganj.
They will submit their probe report within three days. 

Earlier, the Election Commission postponed publishing the gazette notification of the results of the Brahmanbaria-2 and Lakshmipur-3 by-elections and launched an inquiry into the allegations of irregularities in polling.
