RMG unrest in Gazipur: 5 cops hurt in APC blast

Garment workers demonstrated in different places of Gazipur on Wednesday, demanding their salary hike.

A female worker was killed in a clash with police in Konabari. The deceased was identified as Anjuara Khatun, a stitch machine operator at Islam Garment.

Five policemen were injured after a sound grenade exploded inside an armoured personnel carrier (APC) vehicle in the afternoon. The wrist of a police man was blew away.

Among the injured, Fuad Hasan, Morshed Khan and Prabir have been taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DHCH).
