Truck, pickup-van torched in Gazipur

A truck and a pick-up van were set on fire by unidentified criminals in Jogitola and Dhirasrom areas of Gazipur on Saturday night (November 11).

Basan police station Sub-inspector (SI) Shariful Islam said a pickup was heading towards Jajar area around 11:00pm. Meanwhile, three youths stopped the vehicle and torched it. Later, on information, a fire unit from Gazipur fire station rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.

Similarly, a truck was set on fire by miscreants in Dhirasrom area around 8:30pm.

Joydebpur fire service warehouse inspector Rakibul Islam confirmed the matter.
