3 killed as truck hits auto-rickshaw in M’singh

A truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Tarakanda upazila of Mymensingh on Monday (November 13), leaving three passengers of the auto-rickshaw dead and two others injured. 

The accident took place on Mymensingh-Netrokona road at Kashiganj Bazar area in Tarakanda upazila around 12:30pm.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Md Abdullah Al Mamun, officer-in-charge (OC) of Tarakanda Police Station, confirmed the matter.

The OC said the auto-rickshaw was heading towards Netrokona. When it reached Kashiganj Bazar area, the truck coming from opposite direction hit the auto-rickshaw, leaving two people dead on the spot and three others injured.

Later, one of the injured died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
