Probe committee formed over Tangail train fire

The railway authority has formed a three-member probe committee to investigate a fire that broke out in a parked commuter train at Gharinda Railway Station in Tangail Sadar upazila.
Shah Sufi Noor, divisional manager (Pakshi) of Bangladesh Railway, Police Super Sarker Mohammad Kayser, and others visited the spot today (November 16).
Police super Sarker Mohammad Kayser said primarily, it seems to be an act of sabotage. A Panchagarh-bound train arrived at the station at 2:53 am Thursday. Later, the fire was spotted at the commuter train at 3:05 am.
He said, rail police, district police, and ansar members at the station rushed to the spot and tried to douse the blaze. Later, fire service units arrived in the area and brought the blaze under control.
Shah Sufi Noor, divisional manager (Pakshi) of Bangladesh Railway said that details can be said later after investigation.
