7 burnt in Aminbazar blast

Seven people have sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder blast in Aminbazar of Savar on the outskirts of capital Dhaka.
The incident took place at Hijli village in Aminbazar union of the upazila around 9 pm on Friday (November 17).
The burnt are Raihan, 20; Haris, 20; Nahid, 20; Juwel, 22; Monarul, 19; Al-amin, 22 and Rubel, 25. All the victims used to live in rented houses and they were from different professions.
Tariqul Islam, resident medical officer of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, said all the victims were admitted to the institute with burn injuries.
Raihan was admitted to the institute with 28 per cent burns, Haris with 13 per cent, Nahid with 17 per cent, Juwel with 14 burns, Monarul with 7 burns, Al-Amin with 12 per cent and Rubel with 13 per cent, Tariqul said.
Milon, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Savar Model Police Station, said, “We rushed to the spot and found seven people burnt in the explosion. They were admitted to hospital.”
