Container train derailed in Brahmanbaria

A container train derailed in Brahmanbaria snapping rail connectivity with Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet and Noakhali on Sunday morning (November 19).
The accident took place around 8:30 am.
Assistant Station Master of Brahmanbaria Railway Station Shakir Jahan said that while container train number 607 leaving from Chittagong for Dhaka crossed Brahmanbaria railway station in the morning, the four wheels of an outer rear compartment derailed. Upline train movement has been stopped in this incident.
Responding to a question on whether any sabotage caused the accident, Brahmanbaria Station Master Jasim Uddin: “The cause of the accident is not known. Details can be said after investigation.”
