Two killed in Sirajganj road crash

Two people, including a child, were killed and two other injured after a private car hit a battery-run auto-rickshaw in Salanga of Sirajganj district on Monday evening.

The deceased are Jamirul Khatun, 35, wife of Johurul Islam at Barodungachha of Ullapara, and Rokea Khatun, 5, daughter of Shadat Hossain in Rajshahi.   

Hatikumrul Highway Police Station OC Abdul Wadud said a Natore-bound private car hit an auto-rickshaw on the Hatikumrul-Bonpara highway in Ramarchar area, leaving four injured.

Two died on way to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
