BNP leader expelled for buying nomination paper

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has expelled Dewan Nazim Uddin Manju, president of Dhaka Dhamrai Municipality unit of BNP, for buying a nomination paper for the upcoming national election.
The party informed this through a press statement, signed by its co-office secretary Muhammad Munir Hossain, on Friday.
Accoring the circular, Manju has been expelled from all positions, including primary membership of the party, based on specific allegations of involvement in activities against party discipline.
The party has also expelled Matiur Rahman Montu, a former general secretary of Rajshahi District BNP, for declaring his candidacy for the national election from Rajshahi-3 (Paba-Mohanpur) constituency.
