Running truck set alight in Habiganj

Miscreants have set a running truck on fire in Habiganj Sadar upazila on Monday (November 27) morning during the seventh edition of 48-hour countrywide blockade enforced by BNP and its like-minded parties.

The goods-laden truck was set ablaze on the Habiganj-Shayestaganj bypass road around 8:30am, said Ajay Chandra Dev, officer-in-charge (OC) of Habiganj Sadar Police Station.

The truck and goods inside the vehicle have been burnt to ashes in the fire, he said.

Being informed, firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control, the OC said, adding that extent of the damages caused by the fire could not be assessed immediately.

Police are trying to nab those involved in this incident, he further said.
