Signal 3 for maritime port Cox`s Bazar

The maritime port of Cox’s Bazar has been asked to hoist signal number three as the severe cyclonic storm ‘MICHAUNG’ over the West central Bay and adjoining area moved north-northwestwards further.

Md Imam Uddin, assistant meteorologist of Cox’s Bazar Met office, confirmed the news at around 5:30pm on Tuesday (December 5).  

The Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘MICHAUNG’ is likely to move north-northwestwards and may cross South Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Machilipatnam on Tuesday, said a special weather bulletin issued by the BMD.
