Fire at Kalurghat factory under control

A fire that broke out at a bedding factory in Kalurghat BISIC area under Chandgaon Police Station in Chattogram port city on Saturday (December 9) morning has been brought under control.

Kafil Uddin, an officer of Agrabad Fire Station, said that the fire broke out at Quader Bedding factory around 10:15 am and spread to nearby spots quickly.

On information, eight firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 12am, he said.

The origin of the fire and extent of the damages could not be ascertained immediately.

However, no casualties were reported in this connection.
