Paturia-Daulatdia ferry service resumes after 6 hours

Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route in the Padma River resumed after six hours of disruption caused by dense fog in Manikganj early Tuesday (December 12).

Earlier, dense fog blanketed the river route, forcing to suspend the ferry movements around 12:00 am. Later, the service resumed around 6:30 am as the fog disappeared.

Shah Md Khaled Newaz, manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation of Aricha ghat branch confirmed the matter.

The authority decided to suspend the ferry to avoid accidents due to heavy fog. The service resumed after six hours, he added.
