One killed in Gazipur rail sabotage

At least one passenger was killed when an express train derailed after miscreants cut off rail line in Bankharia area of Gazipur early Wednesday (December 13).
The deceased was known as Aslam Mia, 35.
Following the derailment, the rail communication between Dhaka and Mymensingh remained suspended.
Joydebpur railway station master Hanif Ali said Dhaka-bound Mohonganj Express train left Rajendrapur station around 3:45am. Later, seven bodies of the train derailed in the area around 4:00am following the sabotage.
Joydebpur railway police inspector Shahidul Islam said a person was killed due to the incident. A relieve train is heading towards the area.
