Probe committee formed over Gazipur train derailment

Two separate probe committee have been formed to investigate the derailment of Mohonganj Express train on Joydebpur-Mymensingh rail route in Gazipur.
Bangladesh Railway Dhaka divisional railway manager Safiqur Rahman confirmed the matter around 10:00 am on Wednesday (December 13).
He said that initially, we came to know that miscreants did this. However, a seven-member probe committee has been formed to check the incident deeply. The committee was asked to submit its report within the next three working days.
Gazipur deputy commissioner Abul Fate Mohammad Safiqul Islam said a five-member investigation committee headed by Additional District Magistrate Humayun Kabir, has also been formed.
Earlier, a passenger was killed when the Dhaka-bound Mohanganj Express train derailed on a section of the Joydebpur-Mymensingh railway line that was allegedly damaged by saboteurs in Gazipur.
