EC scraps candidature of AL aspirant Enamul

The Election Commission (EC) has cancelled the candidature of Awami League's Jashore-4 aspirant Enamul Haq Babul.

The decision came following a hearing of an appeal at Nirbachan Bhaban auditorium (Basement-2) in Agargaon in the capital on Wednesday (13 December).

Confirming the matter, Sukriti Kumar Mondol, another aspirant of the same constituency said that the AL backed candidate Enamul Haq Babul took a loan of Tk21.72 crore from Janata Bank in 2013. He didn’t payback the amount and became a loan defaulter.

Enamul Haq Babul said that he heard the matter. He will make an appeal to the high court to get back his candidature.
