Pressure on highways increases

Pressure of a huge number of vehicles carrying holidaymakers has increased on Dhaka-Tangail highway and Dhaka-Mymensingh highway.

The traffic congestion on the highways in Gazipur started to increase after Thursday afternoon.

Many garment workers and employees of private and government offices left the workplaces on Thursday afternoon to celebrate the two-day holiday– weekly holiday Friday and Victory Day on Saturday.

During the visit, it was seen, the pressure of motorcycles, private cars and passenger buses increased.
