Keraniganj gas cylinder blast: Burnt woman dies

A woman, who sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder blast at her house in Dhaka’s Keraniganj upazila, died at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery on Monday night.

Tariqul Islam, a resident surgeon of the institute, said that Uma Chakrabarty, who suffered 92 percent burns, died around 9:30pm.

Earlier on Monday, an explosion took place around 9:30am on the ground floor of a four-storey building at Rishipara area in the upazila, leaving eleven people including four members of a family injured.
