Juba Dal leader crushed under truck, family claims murder

A Juba Dal leader named Rony Hossain, 35, has been crushed under a truck in Rajshahi.

The incident took place on Friday afternoon in front of Varendra University in Kharkhari bypass area of Rajshahi city.
Rony Hossain was the joint convener of district Juba Dal and a resident in Takipara area of the city.

His family has alleged that he was murdered in a planned way and they will file a case.

Officer-in-Charge of Chandrima Thana Mahbub Alam said a truck coming from opposite site hit the Rony’s motorcycle, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police is trying to arrest the truck driver. The dead body has been sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy, he also said.
