4 killed as train hits truck in M’singh

Four people were killed and two others injured after a commuter train hit a truck carrying sands at Shambhuganj level crossing in Mymensingh city on Monday (December 25) noon.

The incident took place at the rail crossing behind Shambhuganj GKP College around 1:30 pm.

The deceased and injured could not be named immediately.

Following the incident, train communication on Mymensingh-Jaria route has remained suspended.

Anwar Hossain, officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Mymensingh Kotwali Model Police Station, confirmed the incident.
