Sheikh Hasina on way to Rangpur

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is visiting Rangpur today (December 26) as part of her election campaign.

A festive mood is prevailing among Awami League and its front and associate bodies’ leaders and activists, as well as the general public centering the prime minister’s visit to Rangpur district for electioneering.

During her visit, the Awami League president will address two public rallies in Pirganj and Taraganj upazilas of Rangpur district.

She will address an election rally at the college field in Taraganj upazila to support Awami League candidate Abul Kalam Md Ahsanul Haque from Rangpur-2 (Taraganj-Badarganj).

Later, the Awami League chief will join another election rally in Rangpur-6 (Pirganj) constituency arranged for the campaign of Awami League candidate Shirin Sharmin Choudhury, also speaker of National Parliament.

Earlier, Sheikh Hasina kicked off her election campaign on December 20 through visits to the mazars of saints Shahjalal and Shah Paran in Sylhet.
