Sheikh Hasina arrives in Rangpur, joins Taraganj rally

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has arrived in Rangpur this morning as part of her election campaign.

Arriving in Rangpur, she joined the public rally on Taraganj Waqf Estate Govt. College ground, confirmed Awami League candidate Abul Kalam Md Ahsanul Haque from Rangpur-2 (Taraganj-Badarganj).

The Awami League president will also address separate election rallies in Mithapukur and Pirganj during her visit.

A festive mood is prevailing among Awami League and its front and associate bodies’ leaders and activists, as well as the general public centering the prime minister’s visit to Rangpur district for electioneering.

Earlier, Sheikh Hasina kicked off her election campaign on December 20 through visits to the mazars of saints Shahjalal and Shah Paran in Sylhet.
