Faridpur SP withdrawn

Superintendent of Police (SP) of Faridpur Md Shahjahan has been withdrawn from his post and attached to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

A transfer order signed by Deputy Secretary of Election Commission Mizanur Rahman was issued on Monday (December 25).

DMP Deputy Police Commissioner Mohammad Morshed Alam has also made Superintendent of Police (SP) of Faridpur.

Earlier, EC asked the senior secretary of the Public Security Division to examine the allegation of partiality brought against SP Shahjahan. 

A Mohammad Saifur Rahman brought the partiality allegation and filed an application to the EC.
