3 followers of independent candidate fined for violating electoral code

A mobile court has fined three supporters of an independent candidate in the Dhaka-19 (Savar-Ashulia) constituency for violating the electoral code of conduct.

Savar assistant commissioner (land) and executive magistrate M Rasel Islam Nur passed the order on Thursday (December 28).

The three fined individuals are – Mamun, Billal Hossain, and Jahangir Alam.

Executive magistrate M Rasel Islam Nur said the three people were fined Tk10,000 each for violating the Electoral Code of conduct 2008, (amendment).
