Four of a family electrocuted in Mymensingh

Four members of a family including two children have electrocuted in Nandail of Mymensingh.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nandail Thana Abdul Mojid confirmed the news on Saturday (December 30) afternoon.

The incident took place at around 3:00pm on Saturday at Birgoshpala village under Chondipasha union of the upazila.

The deceased are Jamal Uddin, 32, his mother Anoara Begum, 65, and daughters Anika Akhtar, 4, and Faiza, 6.

The incident occurred when Jamal Uddin came in contact with a live electric wire while charging his auto-rickshaw at around 3.30pm this afternoon. His mother and two daughters also died on the spot when they tried to save him,
the OC said.
