2 flights diverted from Saidpur airport due to dense fog

Two flights of private airlines were unable to land at Saidpur Airport in Nilphamari today due to dense fog.

Carrying 140 passengers, the flights were later diverted to Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International airport.

Airport sources said, two flights of US-Bangla and NOVOAIR took off from Dhaka for Saidpur Airport at 9:30 PM and 9:00 PM on Tuesday (January 2). However, due to heavy fog in Saidpur, the visibility was less than 50 meters, so the two flights returned to Dhaka.

Saidpur Airport Manager Suplab Kumar Ghosh confirmed the matter.
