Temperature recorded at 10.7˚C in Dinajpur

Shivering cold accompanied with dense fog and cold wave has hit Dinajpur district hard, disrupting the normal life of people.

The bone-chilling cold is forcing people to stay home. The daily wage earners are the worst sufferer as they could not go out for work.

Some people were seen warming themselves in the morning after setting fire on husks beside the road.

This morning in the district, temperature was recorded at 10.7 degrees Celsius.

Confirming the matter, Asaduzzaman, an official of meteorological office in Dinajpur, said lowest temperature was recorded at 10.7 degrees Celsius at 6 am on Saturday (January 6) in Dinajpur.

At that time, humidity was 94 percent, said the Met officer.

Yesterday, temperature was recorded at 10.0 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur and humidity was 97 percent.
