Truck-auto-rickshaw collision leaves 3 dead in Manikganj

Three people were killed in a collision between a truck and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Outpara area under Manikganj Sadar Upazila on Monday (January 8) morning.

The incident took place on Hemayetpur regional highway in Outpara intersection around 10 am.

The deceased were the passengers of the auto-rickshaw but their identities could not be known immediately.

Manikganj Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Habil Hossain said a truck ran over a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Outpara area, leaving three passengers of the auto-rickshaw dead on the spot.

The bodies were sent to Manikganj district hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said.
