Bomb attack on independent candidate’s victory procession

At least 10 people were injured in a bomb attack on a victory procession of independent candidate Tahmina Begum on Monday.

The incident took place at 11:00am at Fasiatola Bazar under Alinagar union in Kalkani upazila of Madaripur district.

Later, independent candidate’s supporters vandalized and looted 15 houses of boat supporters in Charthengamara area of Kalkini municipality, boat supporters alleged.

Independent candidate Tahmina Begum defeated Awami League-nominated candidate Dr Abdus Sobhan Mia Golap in Madaripur-3 constituency in the 12th national election.
