Ferry services on Shariatpur-Chandpur route suspended

The ferry services on Shariatpur-Chandpur route was suspended early Sunday (January 14) due to heavy fog.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) shut the movements of ferries on the route considering the safety of the passengers from 2:00am.

BIWTC ferry ghat assistant-manager Md Iqbal Hossain confirmed the matter.

The ferry operations would resume as the fog clears," Iqbal Hossain added.
