4 BCL men killed after private car falls into ditch in Sylhet

Four activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) were killed after their private car fell into a roadside ditch, losing control over its steering at Jaintiapur upazila in Sylhet early Saturday (January 20).
The incident took place at about 1am on the Sylhet-Tamabil highway.
The deceased were identified as Tomal, son of Arosh Miah; Nehal, son of Randeep Pal; Jubayer, son of Jamal Uddin; and Ali Hossain Sumon, son of Harun-ur-Rashid.
All of the victims were the residents of Jaintiapur and active members of the upazila unit, said Md Kamal Ahmed, chairman of Jaintiapur upazila parishad.
Md Tajul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Jaintiapur police station, said the microbus fell into the roadside ditch, losing control over its steering in Jaintapur Police Station area, leaving the four BCL men dead.
Later, the bodies were kept at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.
