Juba League leader beaten to death over trifling matter

A Juba League leader named Nazrul Islam Bhuiyan has been beaten to death by miscreants over a trivial matter.

The incident took place on Thursday evening at a CNG filling station at Taltala Majherchar under Sonargaon upazila in Narayanganj. 

Nazrul Islam Bhuiyan was the son of Subed Ali at Noagaon village and joint secretary of union unit of Juba League.

According to locals and relatives, Nazrul Islam rent a CNG-run auto-rickshaw to go to Bhulta Gaucia at Rupganj, but its driver tried to get down from his CNG at Taltala Majherchar. At one stage, Nazrul locked into an altercation with the CNG driver and some others. They beat Nazrul indiscriminately, leaving him seriously injured. He was taken to Arihazar Health Complex where he died at around 7:00pm.

In-Charge of Taltala Police Outpost Inspector Saiful Islam confirmed the news.
