Mother, son suffocated to death in Pabna 

A 35-year-old woman named Laboni Khatun and her 8-year-old son Riyad Hossain have allegedly been suffocated to death by unidentified miscreants in Chatmohar  upazila of Pabna district.

Being informed, police recovered the dead bodies at around 11:30am on Friday from their residence at Dighulia village under Failjana union.

Police suspected that they were killed on Thursday night.

Laboni Khatun was the wife of Malaysia expatriate Abdur Rashid of Dighulia village. 

Failjana Union Parishad chairman Hafizur Rahman said locals noticed the body of the woman lying in the kitchen and her son’s body hanging from a tree and informed the matter to police. 

Locals suspected that miscreants might have entered the house for robbery and have killed them.

Officer-in-Charge of Chatmohar Police Station Md Selim Reza said they recovered the bodies and sent those to Pabna General Hospital morgue.
