Rice price is controlled through mobile phones: DG of DNCRP

Director General of the Directorate of National Consumers Right Protection (DNCRP) AHM Shafiquzzaman has alleged that prices of essentials like egg, chicken, rice are controlled by mobile phones.

The DG made the allegation while talking to journalists after visiting the wholesale market in Fariapotti and Chawkbazar areas of Barishal city on Saturday.

“SMS of mobile phones makes prices of essential commodities instable. We will take actions against them in every upazila and district”, he said.
