Bangladeshi killed in BSF firing along Lalmonirhat border

A Bangladeshi man was shot dead by India's Border Security Force (BSF) in Dahagram border area of Patgram upazila in Lalmonirhat early Sunday (January 28).
The deceased was known as Rabiul Islam Tuklu, 34, son of Afzal Hossain, hailed from Dangapra area of the upazila.
Sources said Tuklu and seven others entered India crossing border around 4:30am when a patrol team of BSF India opened fire. Meanwhile, the Bangladeshi youth died on the spot.
Dahgram union parishad chairman Habibur Rahman said Indian police a Bangladeshi was shot dead by BSF. Later, Indian police recovered the body.
Confirming the matter, BGB-51 Battalion Panbari camp Subedar Amanuzzaman said a letter has been sent to the BSF in this regard.
