“The Directorate of National Consumers’ Right Protection (DNCRP) will remain on rigid position to keep the markets stable during the holy month of Ramadan. All kinds of daily essential commodities have been made available two months before Ramadan starts,” said its Director General (DG) AHM Shafiquzzaman.
He made the remark while talking to reporters following a drive to monitor markets in Barguna on Sunday (January 28).
“Supply of all types of daily essentials is normal. Consumers can purchase products at a reasonable price only if the marketing system is controlled,” Shafiquzzaman said.
At this time, he warned that the market situation will be kept normal by strictly putting down the dishonest traders.
