Tungipa Express Train runs on broken railway tracks

Tungipa Express Train ran on the broken part of the railway tracks, avoiding a ‘red’ signal near Nandangachhi station in Charghat upazila of Rajshahi district on Monday.
The West Zone Railway has formed a three-member committee to investigate the matter.
Locals had noticed the broken part of the railway tracks before the train reached the spot and promptly hoisted a red cloth at the danger point. But the Tungipa Express Train avoided the red signal.
Barendra Express Train narrowly escaped an accident as the locomaster managed to stop the train after seeing the red signal.
The railway communication between Rajshaahi and other parts of the country remained suspended after rail tracks found broken near Nandangacchi rail station around 11 am.
