Minor girl killed as truck hits her in Narsingdi

A minor girl was killed when a sand-laden truck ran over her at Boilab village in Shibpur upazila of Narsingdi district on Wednesday (January 31).

The deceased was identified as Aysha Akter, 7, daughter of Morshed Mia, a resident of Boilab village of the upazila.

Local people said the accident happened this noon on the Shibpur-Boilab road when a truck ran over the minor girl.

Later, Aysha was taken to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibpur Police Station Md Farid Uddin confirmed the matter.
